The story
T’Kleijn Geluck serves Dutch seasonal cooking from Raadhuisplein 20 in Son en Breugel, near Eindhoven, and Gault&Millau awarded it 14 points for 2026. The restaurant sits on the village town hall square, and the kitchen rebuilds its menu every month around what is in season.
Chef Rick Geven runs the kitchen with his partner, hostess and sommelier Sanne Meijer. Much of the produce comes from the region, and the rest from the team's own vegetable garden, a plot they have worked since 2022 about five minutes from the restaurant. Lekker500 describes the cooking as rooted in French technique with a modern twist, which gives the Dutch base a sharper edge.
Lekker500 singled out plaice prepared three ways in 2024: roasted skin-on with lettuce vinaigrette, a tartare wrapped in lettuce, and a piece baked in lettuce gazpacho. Veal escalope, served crisp, has appeared on the menu as an upgrade. Dessert in 2024 was a pig-shaped corn ice cream on bacon ice cream, a playful dish that the reviewer found hard to resist.
The dining room is laid out like a living room, with round tables, warm tones and a relaxed pace. Guests can choose the full five-course menu, a three- or four-course weekday variant from Tuesday to Thursday, or dishes à la carte. Sanne Meijer presents the wine pairing, and an alcohol-free juice pairing alternates with the wines in the combination arrangement.
