The story
SEAson Arsenaal, in Almere Stad, is a seafood restaurant at Kooltjesbuurt 1, Naarden, 1411 RZ, Netherlands. Gault&Millau scored it 13.5 in 2026, and the guide describes a steady clientele built over three years in the Naarden Vesting. The kitchen works with the seasonal catch and local produce.
Dennis and Gabriëlle Koopmans run the restaurant together. Dennis worked in two- and three-star kitchens before becoming executive chef at Vis aan de Schelde and both locations of The Travellers. Gabriëlle built her career at the Amstelhotel, from La Rive and the brasserie to banqueting and breakfast service. The cooking keeps things simple: fresh fish, paired with produce from the land.
The menu leans on oysters, lobster, dishes for sharing, meat and a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts. A three, four or five course Chefs Favorites menu lets the kitchen choose for you. The fruit de mer, a daily selection of fresh seafood, needs to be ordered a day in advance. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026, a selection that follows inspector visits.
The restaurant occupies its own building on the grounds of Het Arsenaal, a historic site in Naarden. Gault&Millau describes a cozy, spacious room with an attached sunroom, and the restaurant has a terrace as well. Guests praise the warm welcome and the attentive, friendly staff.
