The story
Myojaku is a Japanese restaurant at B1F, 3-2-34 Nishiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and it holds three Michelin stars for 2026. The kitchen builds its Japanese menu around seasonal produce.
The owner says the cooking centers on seasonal vegetables, with ingredients sent from Edo-Tokyo and from producers across Japan. Each one is handled to show its natural state. The dishes aim to feel fresh and close to the fields, rivers, sea and soil they come from.
Dinner is an omakase course chosen by the chef. From April 2026, the omakase price rises to 49,500 yen, and the owner links the change to the producers and artisans who support the kitchen. Gault&Millau has given the restaurant 17 points for 2026.
Guests sit at one of two counters, with eight seats at the main counter and six at the sub counter. Two private rooms seat four or six. The whole restaurant is non-smoking, and guests are asked not to wear perfume, since the kitchen works hard to protect the flavor of the food. Children are welcome from middle school age, on the same course as adults.
