The story
La Maison Confortable is a French kitchen on the fourth floor at 4F, 3-7-4 Azabujuban, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Gault&Millau gave it 15.5 points in 2026, and the restaurant serves lunch and dinner as set courses with counter seating and private rooms.
Yosuke Akasaka trained at a culinary school before moving to France. From 2003 he worked under Pierre Gagnaire, joining the team when Pierre Gagnaire Tokyo opened and becoming executive chef in 2011. After fourteen years holding two Michelin stars, he opened this restaurant in April 2025. He says he is chasing the appeal each ingredient already has. Pairings that seem unlikely at first become the starting point for new flavours, chosen for taste rather than surprise.
Lunch and dinner both run on set courses. Lunch ranges from a short three-savoury-dish menu to a seven-course SAISON menu, and dinner tops out at the same SAISON menu, priced at ¥38,500 before a 10% service charge. Counter dining and private rooms are both offered. Yasutaka Sugimoto leads the front of house and the wine list as director and wine director, with earlier roles at Aimée Vibert and Pierre Gagnaire Tokyo. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
