The story
Glam is a contemporary Venetian restaurant at calle Tron, Santa Croce 1961, in Venice, and it holds two Michelin Stars in the 2026 guide. It sits inside Palazzo Venart, a few steps from the San Stae vaporetto stop.
Resident chef Donato Ascani describes his menu as instinctive, shaped by the daily shop. He buys from fishermen and farmers he calls his first clients, and he says each ingredient speaks of the place and the moment. A memory of his mother's cooking or a talk with an elderly Venetian about a historic recipe can start a dish.
The kitchen reworks the city's gastronomic tradition and adds contemporary alternatives that bring out the flavors of the lagoon. Gambero Rosso gave Glam two forks in 2022. The wine list is a point of interest, and wine pairing is offered at the table. Ottavio Licitra Venditto leads the room as sommelier.
Past the palazzo's entrance is a quiet courtyard shaded by magnolia trees. The dining room is small and seats up to 30 guests. A garden faces the Grand Canal, with a view of Ca' Vendramin Calergi, the building that houses the city's casino.
