The story
Seta, at Via Andegari 9 in Milan, is a contemporary Italian restaurant that holds two Michelin stars, awarded in 2026 for excellent cooking. It sits inside the Mandarin Oriental, Milan.
Antonio Guida leads the kitchen and combines traditional techniques with an inventive gastronomic approach. His menu treats Italian cuisine in a contemporary way, with dishes that look as deliberate as they taste. Guida has shared the kitchen with Executive Sous-Chef Federico Dell'Omarino for more than 20 years. Pastry Chef Marco Pinna handles the desserts.
Seta occupies the hotel's second courtyard. Glass windows link the interior with the courtyard, so guests can dine outside in warmer months. Inside, a visible kitchen lets diners watch the team at work. The restaurant asks gentlemen to wear full-length trousers and closed-toe shoes.
The lunch menu is a three-course set served in about an hour, and its dates change regularly. Once a month, Guida opens his private home for a family-style lunch for up to twelve guests, with dishes from Seta's menu. Proceeds go to I Fiori Rari, the rare disease research fund he founded. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2020.
