The story
Kitchen, in Como, Italy, is an Italian Contemporary restaurant at Via per Cernobbio 41/a, and it holds one Michelin star (2026). It sits within a private park, and its menu is built around seasonal produce and tasting formats.
Chef Andrea Casali spent seven years working alongside Franco Caffara, and the kitchen still follows the principle he took from that time: respect for raw produce. His cooking blends land, sea and plant-based ingredients into dishes with balanced flavours. His first Michelin star came in 2021.
A biodynamic garden inside the park supplies aromatic herbs, flowers and seasonal vegetables to the kitchen. The We're Smart Green Guide awards the restaurant two radishes (2026). The à la carte includes a 120-month Parmigiano Reggiano risotto with candied rose and bergamot orange, and Pigeon d'Anjou with rhubarb, artichokes and béarnaise. After dark, the garden is lit by the park's lights.
Three tasting menus, Evoluzione, Identità and Essenza Vegetale, carry the kitchen's ideas through a full meal, and the vegetarian menu has vegan variants on request. Pastry chef Pietro reinterprets traditional recipes, and the desserts include Gianduja chocolate with vanilla and Cognac. Sommelier Maria Chiara leads the wine and spirit pairings.
