The story
Restaurant bi a wik serves North German cooking at Gmelinstr. 11 in Wyk auf Föhr, Germany, where the kitchen builds its menu on island and regional produce. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it two Kochlöffel in 2026.
The kitchen works with Husumer beef fillet, vegetables grown on the island and fish from a sustainable fish farm in Sarlhusen. Modern interpretations of familiar dishes appear on the summer menu.
Summer meals take place on a large sun terrace facing the North Sea. The Schlemmer Atlas highlighted the sea-view terrace, where Husumer beef Rostbraten and a selection of Holstein cheeses are served, with cake on offer in the afternoon. A separate 1.5 Kochlöffel rating describes panoramic glass fronting the beach, with world dishes such as tacos al pastor, mezze and lamb curry, plus burgers and Kaiserschmarrn.
