The story
martino.kitchen runs an Italian kitchen with Mediterranean touches at Marktplatz 13 in Wiesbaden. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it two Kochlöffel for 2026, and the Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended that year.
Martino Stirn brings years of international cooking from well-regarded houses into this kitchen. The menu follows the market, and the team says it buys from suppliers it has visited and tasted with. The result is Mediterranean-leaning food with a clear Italian base.
The lunch card lists fresh pasta such as spaghetti carbonara with guanciale and organic egg yolk, and tagliatelle with ragout. The evening menu opens with burrata, cherry tomatoes and capers, and a saffron risotto with goat cheese runs through the mains. Dessert includes a ricotta tortina with pear and cassis, or an espresso affogato with house-made vanilla ice cream.
The restaurant moved to Marktplatz 13 in July 2023, after ten years on Webergasse. Guests can sit on the sunny terrace or in the winter garden. Kathi Stirn, a sommelier, curates the cellar to match the food, and the Schlemmer Atlas also notes a surprise menu of up to five courses.
