The story
Aurum, at Goldgasse 16 in Wiesbaden, is an Italian restaurant that the Schlemmer Atlas rated 1,5 Kochlöffel in 2026. The guide singles out its Neapolitan stone-oven pizza and homemade pasta.
Pizza comes from the stone oven, and the list is long. Parmina carries 14-month-aged Parma ham, rocket, Parmesan shavings and cherry tomatoes, while Pizza Gambas is topped with prawns, garlic and chili flakes. The pasta section runs from spaghetti aglio e olio to porcini ravioli in sage butter, and the basil pesto is made in house.
The restaurant sits on a car-free lane in the Altstadt. Regulars have been coming back for more than 20 years, according to the guide. Beyond pizza and pasta, the card lists lasagne, meat and fish mains, and desserts with ice cream.
