The story
Weisses Rössl is a German restaurant at Herrengasse 1 in the old town of Wasserburg am Inn. Its kitchen works with fine regional ingredients, and it earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good-quality, good-value cooking.
The German kitchen keeps its Bavarian roots and adds Mediterranean influence. Schlemmer Atlas gave the restaurant two Kochlöffel in 2026, highlighting trout, veal cheeks and sous-vide maize-fed turkey breast. The wine list draws on German, Austrian and Italian bottles.
Warm wooden tables, considered décor and modern art give the dining room a cosy, easygoing feel. Private dining is available for family celebrations and company events, and the team helps plan the menu sequence. Tables are in demand, so booking by phone is advisable.
