The story
ZweiSinn Meiers | Bistro, at Äußere Sulzbacher Straße 118 in Nürnberg, serves French-Mediterranean cooking and holds a Michelin star for 2026. The restaurant runs a daytime and evening bistro alongside a fine dining room, both in the same loft in the city's east.
Stefan Meier leads the kitchen and calls himself the creative force behind the stove. He works with fresh, seasonal produce, and the fine dining menus shift with what the markets offer. He also teaches cooking classes, where guests pick up his practical tips.
Der Feinschmecker highlights raw-marinated Andalusian Gamba Blanca with red shiso sorbet, radish salad and an XO sauce that adds a crisp umami base. Another standout is torched leek heart with porcini ragout, mountain cheese foam, lovage espuma, leek ash and Imperial Auslese caviar. The cooking pays close attention to texture and temperature, so each plate moves between warm and cool elements.
The loft has leather-upholstered tables and a spacious layout. The industrial edge has been softened toward a more elegant, comfortable feel. The wine list holds over 350 selections, with particular depth in Rieslings and several bottles available by the glass. Outdoor seating and a private room are also available.
