The story
Gasthof Zum Lamm sits at Hauptstraße 7 in Neupotz, on the Rhine plain in the southern Palatinate, where the kitchen serves German cooking with a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026. The inn has been recognised for good quality, good value cooking, and its German kitchen draws on the local countryside around it.
The house says it works with fresh ingredients from regional producers and builds its menu around the season. The Schlemmer Atlas singles out two signature plates: lamb saddle in a mustard crust and venison ravioli. Both are rich, hearty dishes that suit the rustic side of the room, and the guide rates the restaurant 2,5 Kochlöffel for 2026.
Guests can eat in the main dining room, in the smaller Kleine Stube, or in the garden under the open sky. The inn describes its atmosphere as that of a French country inn, elegant yet rustic. Guest rooms sit in the inn itself, and apartments are available in Kreger's Gasthaus next door. The wine list is selected with care, and the service is relaxed but knowledgeable.
