The story
Huber is a contemporary German restaurant at Newtonstraße 13 in Munich's Bogenhausen district, listed as Recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026. Sandra Huber hosts, and Michael Huber leads the kitchen.
Huber trained at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, then worked at Dallmayr, the Konditorei Kreutzkamm, Bistro Terrine and Restaurant Kleinschmidtz. His own restaurant has now been open for more than ten years. The motto is "perfection in simplicity": good raw products, cooked lightly and plated without fuss. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded 3.5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
Menu 1 is built from vegetables and cheese, with no meat or fish listed. It runs from artichoke with rocket and black garlic to a raviolo of beetroot and poppy seed, and closes with a semolina dumpling with vanilla and apple. Menu 2 brings meagre with fennel and saffron, quail with cauliflower and quinoa, prawn cannelloni and veal with cucumber, radish and morel. Four courses cost €98, five €118 and six €132. There is no vegan menu and no à la carte.
The pairing costs €39 to €56 depending on menu length, with one 0.1 litre glass per course. The wine list is published on the restaurant's website. The German magazine Gusto singled out its fair pricing, noting that Große Gewächse Rieslings can be had for under €50.
