The story
Dallmayr Bar & Grill is at Dienerstraße 14 in Munich, inside the Dallmayr delicatessen house, and cooks an international kitchen centered on fish and seafood. The Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026.
Chef Kevin Osinski leads a creative world cuisine that changes with the seasons. Small plates and sweets to share are prepared à la minute. The menu also carries reworked Dallmayr classics: the bouillabaisse, lobster dishes and beef tartare. From 11:30 a.m., lobster, scallop and cod go onto a Japanese robata grill built exclusively for this restaurant, and guests can watch the cooks work. The Schlemmer Atlas gave the kitchen 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026.
The modern interior sits inside historic rooms and borrows from the shop's 1910s look. A heavy pewter bar and mirrored surfaces nod to that era. The bar itself is clad in turquoise handmade ceramic tiles that recall fish scales. Green leather benches, marble and oak paneling complete the room. At lunch the hall is busy and loud, and in the evening it settles into a lounge mood with electronic music.
Guests meet at bistro and high tables from morning to late evening. Champagne and wine can be poured from a magnum on request. In good weather the terrace in front of the Dallmayr flagship house serves oysters and grilled fish, and mixed seafood platters on order, under wide umbrellas.
