The story
Atelier Gourmet is a French restaurant at Rablstraße 37 in Munich's Haidhausen district, where the kitchen has cooked modern French food since 2005. The Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it two Kochlöffel the same year.
The kitchen works in modern French and Mediterranean cooking, and every table is served a set menu. Guests order at least five courses per person, and the longest option runs to seven. The Schlemmer Atlas noted that the five-course menu on the chalkboard carries individual, creative touches on top of its French foundation.
The printed menu has listed seared scallop with a crudo garnish and saffron orange sauce, alongside skrei fillet with stockfish brandade cannelloni. Braised beef shoulder in red wine arrives with creamy polenta and a pepper crumble. For dessert, vanilla parfait with white chocolate and tarragon comes with passion fruit, mango and hazelnut brittle.
The room seats about 35 guests and has a small terrace. A wine pairing costs 33 to 38 euros depending on the menu, and the list runs from everyday bottles to rare wines. A non-alcoholic pairing is also offered.
