The story
Von Korff in Meschede runs a contemporary and international kitchen at Le-Puy-Straße 19, and the Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026. The restaurant belongs to a family hotel now in its fourth generation, and the menu moves between Westphalian home cooking and Mediterranean plates.
Dirk von Korff favours fresh, à la carte cooking without unnecessary flourish. He puts care into each ingredient, with sourcing and sustainability at the centre of the choice. The Schlemmer Atlas awards the restaurant two Kochlöffel for 2026, describing a down-to-earth meal where pasta and panna cotta have a clear place.
Flammkuchen arrive on organic spelt dough, topped with rocket and Parmesan, and one version comes with smoked salmon. The pasta section includes Penne Rabiata, basil gnocchi in a rocket and cheese sauce, and noodles made from organic hard wheat semolina and mountain spring water. Mains lean toward classics, such as Wiener Schnitzel from veal loin with fries, and roast beef with bratkartoffeln. For dessert, crème brûlée, panna cotta on raspberries and a chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream are among the options.
The wine list is extensive, and the senior chef's own knowledge of wine shapes the selection. A dedicated wine cellar sits on the premises, which gives the list depth beyond the standard bottles. The kitchen also offers a vegetarian and vegan route through much of the menu, so the wine list and the plates tend to meet the same range of guests.
