The story
Sahila - The Restaurant, at Kämmergasse 18 in Köln, serves a fusion menu with international and Middle Eastern influences, and holds one Michelin star for 2026.
Head chef and owner Julia Komp has travelled widely, and each course on her seven-course menu is dedicated to a different country. The journey opens with pan con tomate from Spain and a bread salad from Lebanon. Heat arrives with ceviche from Panama, served with jalapeño ice cream, followed by a sweet potato dish from Sri Lanka.
The restaurant sits in the city centre in a dining room decorated in gold-yellow tones, with a mezze bar attached. For cheese, the menu returns to Germany, with selections from affineur Waltmann. The wine list runs to 450 selections, with 25 available by the glass.
