The story
Restaurant Pfeffermühle, the restaurant of Hotel Gude in Kassel, serves world cuisine at Frankfurter Str. 261. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026, recognising a menu of hearty meat dishes and smokehouse fish from the hotel's own kitchen.
The head chef, a woman, cooks with fresh produce from the surrounding region. Steaks, pork tenderloin, beef roulade and sirloin steak anchor the traditional side of the menu. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are also on offer, and a set lunch menu runs during the day.
Fish comes from the hotel's own smokehouse, and the dessert list ends with homemade ice cream. The wine selection is described as extensive and carefully chosen. Guests can start with an aperitif in the Salzbar or spend the warmer months on the summer terrace.
