The story
Restaurant Krone sits at Am Rain 6 in Schopfheim, where the kitchen works in Baden-style and French cooking, with Swabian classics on the card. The Schlemmer Atlas 2026 awarded it 3 Kochlöffel, the top rating in its trophy listing for the restaurant.
The kitchen runs two registers. A gourmet menu includes lobster, monkfish and pigeon, while the traditional dining room serves rump steak and wild boar sauerbraten. Game ragout, veal liver and rack of lamb round out the Baden-style cooking that the Schlemmer Atlas described.
Restaurant, kitchen and hotel carry a modern feel, yet Cordon Bleu, Wiener schnitzel and veal liver remain on the menu. The house also lists a set lunch menu, an open kitchen, vegan and vegetarian options, and wheelchair access. The Hauri family runs the hotel and pays close attention to its guests.
