The story
Heimatjuwel, at Stellinger Weg 47 in Hamburg, is a Nordic kitchen that holds one Michelin star for 2026. Marcel Görke builds the menu around vegetables from small farms, with meat and fish served as additions to the main course.
The menu follows what the season provides, so the card can look different from one week to the next. Carrot with liquorice and miso, Jerusalem artichoke with pumpkin, and beetroot with yoghurt and chocolate have all appeared on it. The house says it treats vegetables with the same care most kitchens give a prime cut of meat.
From Tuesday to Thursday, guests can choose a four-course menu for 85 €. Friday and Saturday bring a five-course menu at 98 €, which can be extended to six or seven courses. Wine pairings are offered with each menu. Der Feinschmecker singled out an amuse-bouche of pumpkin waffle with cherry vinegar caviar, and a dessert of savarin with smoked almonds and pot ice cream.
Sandra Ureidat recommends wines from a long list that includes several natural wines. The dining room has comfortable wooden chairs and indirect lighting, which keeps the mood relaxed.
