A new country on the plate every month

The kitchen runs a culinary world tour and moves to a different country each month. Event and theme evenings sit alongside the regular menu. The current set is Thai: Laab Moo with pork, lime, herbs and toasted rice, Gai Yang with marinated chicken, coriander and sticky rice, and Tom Kha Hed, a coconut soup with galangal, mushrooms and kaffir lime. Guests can order from either menu or put together their own.

Who cooks and who runs the room

Christian Hünnicher leads the kitchen. He trained as a cook and has 25 years of restaurant experience in several German towns. Melanie Pálffy manages the restaurant and welcomes guests in person. She trained as a hotel specialist and has spent 27 years in hospitality in Germany and Austria. Earlier seasonal menus have included a braised beef dish with polenta gnocchi and spring vegetables, and an Italian mussel gratin.

Tables inside and on the courtyard terrace

Up to about 26 guests sit indoors at separate tables. A courtyard terrace adds 16 seats. Groups of 10 or more can book outside regular opening hours.
