WEINreich Freinsheim: Palatine Cooking, Wine Bar and Guest Rooms

WEINreich is a wine bar and modern Palatine kitchen at Hauptstraße 25 in Freinsheim, Germany. The Michelin Guide recommends it for 2026, and the restaurant pairs its cooking with a wine list built around the Deutsche Weinstraße.

Palatine cooking, changed with the seasons

The menu is revised every three to four weeks to follow the season. Traditional Palatine dishes such as Saumagen appear alongside more modern interpretations. The Schlemmer Atlas gives the restaurant 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026 and highlights the Sunday roast for four, which needs an advance reservation.

A wine list that follows the Weinstraße

Bottles come from the Deutsche Weinstraße and neighbouring regions, with Palatinate producers and selections from further afield. A press review described the list as measured in kilometres along the wine road, with one Spätburgunder placed at kilometre 12.1 and a Chardonnay at kilometre 69.6.

Rooms and private hire

Five individually designed guest rooms make a short break in the Palatinate possible. The whole house can be rented for private celebrations, and the team also arranges catering for parties held at home.
