The story
James Farmhouse in Flensburg serves seasonal Mediterranean cooking at Fördepromenade 30, and the restaurant earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. The farm-to-table kitchen works from the house's own James Farm, with a menu that changes with the seasons.
The kitchen sits open to the dining room, so guests can watch the cooks at work. Seasonal classics arrive creatively plated, and the sourcing starts with the house's own farm. The room itself is urban with a British lean, a setting that suits both a quiet breakfast and a long dinner.
The Farm Prime menu, for groups of six to ten at 135 € per guest, centres on cuts of Höruper Rind. A steak tatar is prepared at the table, which makes the first course a live moment. The main course follows with a selection of T-bone, tomahawk and butcher's cuts from the same herd.
Breakfast is served at 56 € per guest. For groups of seven or more, the Schlemmer Atlas, which awards the restaurant two Kochlöffel for 2026, describes a conversational three-course table buffet. The chef chooses the dishes, and the set menu is priced at 75 € per guest, or 89 € per guest for the buffet version.
