The story
Redüttchen is a modern German restaurant at Kurfürstenallee 1 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it three Kochlöffel for 2026. The house was the gardener's cottage of the Redoute, built between 1790 and 1792, and it sits between two parks among old trees.
Matthias Pietsch leads the kitchen, and his team works with carefully sourced ingredients. Their cooking combines regional produce with international influences, which the restaurant describes as regional cuisine reaching beyond the local table. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. Menus can run to six courses, and a vegetarian version is available on request.
Past menus have included raw marinated sea bass from the Bay of Biscay with oyster vinaigrette and pickled rhubarb, and Eifel rabbit braised in a bay laurel broth. The bread comes from Max Kugel, a baker in Bonn. Seasonal menus follow the calendar, with goose in November, an Easter menu, and a summer Gourmet-BBQ with smoked meat and a seafood station.
The garden terrace is the warm-weather setting, and guests can park for free on site. The wine list is extensive, and the service team is glad to talk about growers and bottles. In December 2024 the Ornellaia estate hosted a tasting dinner here, moderated by Master of Wine Markus Del Monego and served with a full menu.
