The story
Madame Ngo, at Kantstr. 30 in Berlin, is a Vietnamese kitchen with French brasserie roots, and it received a Michelin Recommended mention in 2026.
The Schlemmer Atlas gives the restaurant one Kochlöffel for 2026 and singles out its pho noodle soups as the dishes guests order most. The phở bò Madame Ngo combines raw beef slices, cooked brisket and beef meatballs in a bone broth with rice noodles, onion and coriander. A chicken version uses Kikok corn chicken, and the heart and stomach version adds more texture.
Crevettes Royales arrive as jumbo prawns with a salt and pepper coating, served with cucumber and truffle mayonnaise. The mussels are steamed in chili stock with lemongrass, ginger and lime leaves. The bánh mì Madame Ngo layers grilled pork, braised pork belly, boiled egg, pâté, chả lụa and nộm on a baguette. Vegetarian guests will find spring rolls filled with tofu and mushrooms, along with marinated tofu.
The Schlemmer Atlas describes a shabby-chic room on the busy Kantstraße, with exposed brickwork and an open kitchen. The open kitchen keeps the cooking in view from the tables, which suits a menu built on broths, woks and grills.
