The story
Funky Fisch sits at Kantstraße 135 in Berlin and is listed as Recommended in the Michelin Guide for 2026. It is a seafood restaurant with an Asian fusion streak, and the fresh fish displayed in the middle of the room shapes the whole menu.
The kitchen draws mainly on Spain and Portugal and folds in traditional Asian flavors. Sea bream ceviche comes with corn, mango and coriander, and prawn taquitos arrive with a tomato-chili salsa. Bouillabaisse is finished with saffron aioli. Grilled octopus (pulpo à la vera) and gambas al ajillo cover the Iberian side, while poke and tempura-battered fish lean east.
The interior is the work of The Duc Ngo's restaurant group. Its design puts the architecture of the space first, along with the fish itself. The Schlemmer Atlas gives Funky Fisch 2 Kochlöffel for 2026 and describes a bright room with a seafood bar, wooden benches and counter seating.
The menu is paired with separate wine and cocktail lists. Sweet options include a passionfruit crème brûlée with raspberries and white chocolate-ginger ice cream, and a chocolate cube of light and dark mousse with sorbet.
