The story
Erbgericht Tautewalde, at Hauptstraße 25 in Wilthen in the Bautzen area, earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking. The Saxon kitchen also draws on Mediterranean and international ideas.
The Schlemmer Atlas gave the restaurant 2 Kochlöffel in 2026 and notes that the barbecue smoker is regularly fired up. The house follows through with its BBQ-Smokerabend evenings, scheduled for 8 August and 5 September 2026. A Tour del Vino evening is also planned for late August.
The restaurant belongs to the Landidyll Hotel, set in green countryside near the Czech border. The culinary tradition here goes back to 1842. Today the Schulz family runs the house, and Enrico Schulz also leads guided motorcycle tours from the door.
