The story
Klebers is the restaurant of the Romantik Hotel Kleber Post at Poststraße 1 in Bad Saulgau, where Swabian and international cooking sits alongside a Michelin Recommended listing for 2026.
The kitchen takes familiar Swabian dishes and gives them modern accents. Regional and seasonal plates share the menu with international ideas, and the team prefers products from the surrounding region. A weekly changing lunch menu runs through the week. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded 2.5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
Dining happens in several spaces. The Poststüble recalls the days when writers gathered here. The Esszimmer is modern, with walnut furniture, brown leather upholstery and black lampshades. There is also a lounge, and in summer a garden terrace. Contemporary art hangs throughout the house, including works by Gerold Miller and Max Bill.
Bar 47 refers to Gruppe 47, the German literary circle that met at the Kleber Post. The drinks list covers classic aperitifs and cocktails such as a Walnut Negroni. The gin selection includes Monkey 47 from the Black Forest. Beers come from Härle and Meckatzer, and the house Riesling sekt carries the Kleberpost name.
