The story
maximilian°s in Augsburg serves a Mediterranean kitchen at Maximilianstr. 40, inside the hotel of the same name. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2.5 Kochlöffel in 2026, describing a relaxed room with classic, Mediterranean-inspired cooking.
Executive Chef Simon Lang leads the team at an open show kitchen, so guests can watch the line at work. The seasonal card moves between smoked swordfish, Italian pasta and a French bouillabaisse.
Wiener Schnitzel and Zwiebelrostbraten are available all year. The guide also highlights the roast beef as a favorite, so familiar plates sit alongside the changing dishes.
Breakfast runs daily with a buffet of Weißwürste and pretzels, croissants, pancakes, hummus and fresh fruit, with champagne and hot drinks included for 39 EUR per person. On Sundays the brunch costs 65 EUR per person and includes a glass of champagne, juice, coffee and tea. The spread covers cold starters, soup, a live cooking station, seasonal meat and fish mains, a vegetarian option and a dessert selection.
