The story
Restaurant Goldammer sits at Würzburger Str. 200 in Aschaffenburg, where a seasonal fusion kitchen runs alongside a wine list with a Franconian focus. Der Feinschmecker gave the restaurant 2.5 in its 2026 ranking, one of the recognitions behind its place on this index.
Carolin and André Allig run the restaurant personally. The menu changes every two months and uses seasonal regional ingredients. Guests can order à la carte or choose a freely composed five-course menu.
Beef tartare on brioche comes with mustard caviar, red onion, piment d'Espelette and pickled fennel. A grilled scallop arrives on champagne foam with peach, celery and wakame seaweed. Breton monkfish is served in a cucumber broth with peanuts, cauliflower, fried friggitelli and chickpeas. Schlemmer Atlas, which awarded 2.5 spoons in 2026, singled out the bouillabaisse, the scallops and the Rossini filet.
The dining room uses plenty of wood and warm colors, with a lounge-like feel and an urban touch. In summer, the terrace is the other place to sit. Dogs are welcome in the dining room if the restaurant is told in advance. Three guest rooms are available, and breakfast on the room includes muesli, yogurt, juice and coffee.
