Wood-paneled rooms and a historic cellar

The Schlemmer Atlas singles out two rustic, wood-paneled rooms with tiled stoves. Guests can also visit the Gutsausschank Hofgut Hörstein Wein & Wirtschaft, about 150 metres below the hill. It occupies the old Kelterhaus, which keeps its open roof truss and rubble stone walls. In good weather, the sheltered courtyard, the Weingarten, is open.

A family kitchen

Edda Hein-Barnetzki and Joachim Hein run the business in the third generation. The family has welcomed guests since 1955, and they have operated the Gutsausschank since 2008. The wine comes from their own Hofgut Hörstein estate. The Schlemmer Atlas notes that excellent fish and meat dishes are served.
