The story
Brasserie d'Asten, also signed Asten Restaurant, is at 8 boulevard Clemenceau in Binic, on the Côtes-d'Armor coast. The Michelin Guide awarded it one star in 2026, and the modern cuisine here is built on fresh regional produce with a focus on shellfish.
Samuel Selosse is Breton by birth. He trained with Monsieur Chandouineau in Redon to learn the classical foundations, then worked in several established kitchens, including Le Coquillage under Olivier Roellinger, La Pyramide under Patrick Henriroux and Le K2 under Gatien Demczyna. He chose to settle on the Goëlo coast, where the kitchen cooks with produce from local market gardeners, farmers, butchers and fishermen.
The Michelin Guide also gave the restaurant a Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good-quality cooking at good value. The kitchen's menus change with the seasons, so the dishes you find depend on the time of year.
The dining room has a contemporary, minimalist design, with windows facing the sea and a panoramic view over Binic. Lunch offers a market menu at 45€ with a starter, a main course and a dessert, served on weekdays only, not on weekends or public holidays. A lunch pairing of a glass of wine, water and coffee costs an extra 15€.
For dinner, the Menu Sentier is a multi-course tasting menu that opens with amuse-bouches. It is served for one or two people, and it can be paired with two to five glasses of wine.
