The story
Sushi B is a Japanese sushi counter at 5 Rue Rameau in Paris, listed by Le Fooding in 2026. Each seating welcomes only eight guests, all served by the chef at the same moment.
Le Fooding describes Masayoshi Hanada's sushiya as very chic, with a marble bar, a monastic calm and attentive staff. The restaurant sits near rue de Richelieu and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and the dining room looks onto the fountain of a small square. Menus are fixed, so there is no à la carte.
At the lunch Le Fooding reported on, the omakase cost €138. It opened with tofu, toasted sesame and a touch of grated wasabi, then moved to Breton lobster with wild asparagus and broad beans in a soy cream. Amberjack sashimi with ponzu-infused cucumber came next. The sushi course included brill, red seabream, langoustine, crab and tuna belly. Dessert paired rice ice cream and whole strawberries with Japanese lemon cream and sake cream.
The house also pours a selection of wines and Japanese sakes, handy for a glass with friends. Schlemmer Atlas gave Sushi B 2 Kochlöffel in 2026.
