The story
L'Oiseau Blanc is a French rooftop restaurant at 19 avenue Kléber in Paris, on top of The Peninsula Paris. It holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, with the inspectors citing excellent cooking.
Chef David Bizet comes from the Perche region and cooks in the French tradition with a modern lean. He keeps his own vegetable garden and works toward sustainable cuisine, which fits the 1 Radish the restaurant received from the We're Smart Green Guide in 2026. The kitchen's two stars are now in their fifth consecutive year.
The tasting menus are named after flight. Carnet de bord en 6 escales and Le Grand Voyage sit alongside an à la carte list. Envol de saison is the weekday lunch menu and is not served on weekends or public holidays. Anne Coruble leads pastry, and Florent Martin is chef sommelier.
The name comes from the biplane flown by Charles Nungesser and François Coli, who attempted the first nonstop Atlantic crossing in 1927. The restaurant keeps a collection of aviation memorabilia and a replica of the plane. For two diners, La Table Balcon is a private terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which lights up each evening from 10 pm. It is served with a six-course tasting menu and wine pairings, on request and when the weather allows.
