The story
Reflet d'Obione, at 29 rue Jean-Jacques-Rousseau in Montpellier, is a Mediterranean restaurant that holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide. The kitchen works in a modern register, drawing on produce from across Occitanie, and it also carries a 4 Radishes rating from the We're Smart Green Guide for 2026.
Chef Laurent Cherchi trained as a cook and pastry chef and worked in starred restaurants before opening Reflet d'Obione in 2018 with his partner, director Adèle Escafit. He calls his approach "cuisine de conscience", linking nutrition, health and produce. Every menu is gluten-free and built on a vegetable base, and it can be ordered as lacto-ovo vegetarian, vegan, or with meat, fish or shellfish.
The Menu Horizon changes with the seasons. Recent courses have included snails from the Vaunage, trout from the Condax farm and Aveyron lamb served with carrot juice. Dessert leans on fruit and oats, and the sommelier pairs wine with each menu, with a non-alcoholic alternative made from house-prepared infusions.
