The story
Au Clair de la Vigne is a bistro in Bandol at 25 rue du Docteur-Louis-Marçon, and the Michelin Bib Gourmand it earned in 2026 recognises its good quality, good value cooking. The bistronomy menu sits alongside a long wine list of natural bottles.
The kitchen builds its dishes around Aveyron meats, Mediterranean fish and vegetables from short supply chains. Most preparations are made in-house, from pâtés to desserts. Chef Loïc Dubois, formerly of Bacquié, runs the stoves.
Pierre Rouvier, an experienced innkeeper whose career includes Meneau, Troisgros and Boulud in New York, opened the room in 2019. Le Fooding lists it for 2026 and describes a large wine barrel used as a table and a zinc bar lined with cheeses. Recent dishes have included farçou, a pork, chard and parsley meatball, and carnaroli risotto topped with 30-month Parmesan. One visit ended with rice pudding and salted caramel.
