The story
The Treetop Restaurant in Vejle, Denmark, serves modern cuisine at Munkebjergvej 125, inside Munkebjerg Hotel. The White Guide awarded it Masters level in 2026, and Michelin lists it as Recommended the same year.
At Foodexpo 2026 in Herning, the team returned with several titles. Lucas Juhl Nielsen took first place as Chef of the Year, and Cecilie Street won first place as Student Chef of the Year. Executive Chef Bjarke Jeppesen and chef Magnus Lund placed first as Green Chef. Magnus D. Rehnquist finished third as Apprentice of the Year.
The restaurant sits within a 1960s modernist hotel, with the forest canopy at eye level. Guests can sit outside, and the terrace looks over Vejle Fjord. The venue is also tagged for vegetarian and gluten-free dining and wine pairing.
