The story
VeVe is a classic Thai restaurant at Dampfærgevej 7-9 in Copenhagen, listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. The kitchen switched to Thai cooking in June 2025, and the current menu has run since August of that year.
The snack list starts with prawn crackers and chili mayo, pork crackling with a northern Thai green chili dip, and a rice cracker version of the same dip for vegans. Mains include panang curry with grilled chicken and kaffir lime, and whole fried seabass with tamarind sauce. Khao soi comes with chicken or tofu. Many dishes are marked with vegetarian or vegan alternatives, such as tofu crumble in the somtam. Dessert is sticky rice with mango and coconut ice cream.
The tasting menu begins with snacks from four regions of Thailand. The north brings pork crackling, the northeast (Isan) a fermented sausage, the centre stir-fried holy basil with shrimp cakes and a quail egg, and the south a pomelo and prawn salad on crispy rice cracker. Five courses follow, from somtam and grilled chicken to tom yum goong and khao soi with braised beef. It costs 625 kr per person. A five-glass wine pairing is 425 kr, and a juice pairing is 245 kr.
VeVe earned its reputation as a vegetarian restaurant, and that history still shows in the vegetarian tasting menu and the marked vegan dishes. The We're Smart Green Guide gave it 5 Radishes in 2026.
