The story
Bistro Lupa is a plant-based bistro at Marstalsgade 8, 2100 Copenhagen, and it earned a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good-quality, good-value cooking. It sits within The Ark Collection, alongside Restaurant Ark and Beyla Bar & Eatery.
Executive chef Brett Lavender has nearly 20 years in the industry. He trained at upscale kitchens in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, then spent a year in one of Tokyo's two-Michelin-star restaurants. He calls that year a priceless learning experience. The kitchen's stated goal is food that is exciting and high quality first, and plant based second.
The menu follows the seasons and draws on what the team can forage nearby. Founder Jason Renwick does the foraging for all the group's restaurants. The restaurant has also received three radishes from the We're Smart Green Guide in 2026, alongside its Bib Gourmand.
The site describes a bistro re-envisioned around plant-based cuisine, with friendly service and a focus on craftsmanship. Outdoor seating is among the features listed for the restaurant.
