The story
Nautika in Dubrovnik, at Brsalje ul. 3, is a Mediterranean restaurant on the sea beside the Old City walls. Gault&Millau awarded it 16.5 points in 2026, citing its Adriatic seafood and fine-dining precision.
Chef Mario Bunda leads the kitchen, and the seafood is bought each morning from fishermen at Dubrovnik harbour. Local lobster comes from the island of Vis. Tuna fillet is served with dehydrated capers and a trio of fennel, while sea bass arrives with barley and zucchini in an olive-oil-lime emulsion. The cooking draws on Dalmatian tradition, with French and Italian technique.
The terrace faces the Lovrijenac and Bokar fortresses, and at night the lit stone makes a dramatic backdrop. The restaurant occupies the former Dubrovnik School of Maritime Studies, where seafarers trained. Inside, the design takes its cues from the city's history.
