The story
Hoogan et Beaufort is a modern cuisine restaurant at 4095 Rue Molson in Montréal, recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026. The kitchen has been open since 2015 and builds its menu around wood-fire cooking and seasonal market produce.
Marc-André Jetté signs the menu, which the restaurant describes as precise, contemporary and refined. The kitchen says it uses no processed products and sources with a strict eye on quality and flavour. Dishes are built on balanced flavours and textures, and the menu is reworked often, with a focus on Québec talent.
The dining room sits inside the industrial space of the Shop Angus complex. Counter seating is available, and the restaurant lists air conditioning and wheelchair access among its features. Groups of 8 to 90 guests can book the room, with one menu for the whole table, or plan a private event with the chef. A deposit is required for group reservations.
The wine list covers classic appellations alongside emerging producers, and it keeps a small reserve of rare bottles from limited allocations for collectors. Older vintages are part of the selection. A note signed by Hugo Duchesne explains the program, and Wine Spectator has given the list its Best of Award of Excellence (2021).
