The story
Sir Kwinten is a seasonal French restaurant at Markt 9a in Sint-Kwintens-Lennik, awarded two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide. It occupies a listed townhouse in the Pajottenland, with the dining room on the first floor.
Chef Glenn Verhasselt works from an open kitchen and puts the purity of the product first, with a contemporary twist. He trained at the Ter Duinen hotel school in Koksijde before cooking in restaurants in Belgium and abroad. The first Michelin star arrived in 2020 and the second in 2024. Gault&Millau gives the kitchen 17.5 and named him Chef of the Year 2025.
The menu follows the seasons and changes with the market. The "Essentie van Smaak" tasting menu costs €160. A recent version pairs glazed Mechelen asparagus with marigold egg and European lobster, and turbot with courgette flower. Guinea fowl with girolles leads into a rhubarb dessert with speculoos and Pajottenland buttermilk. An à la carte option includes the chef's signature dishes, and a three-course lunch is €90.
Sommelier Yanick Dehandschutter selects pure, refined bottles that suit the food. The list runs to about 450 references, with around 20 wines by the glass. Art by various artists hangs in the dining room, and groups can book the private dining room on the ground floor.
