The story
Maison D. is a modern French restaurant at Charles Vandoorenstraat 10 in Ronse, Belgium, where Gault&Millau awarded 14 points in 2026. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with a French kitchen that keeps its prices close to what local diners expect for fine dining.
The lunch menu changes every week and costs €46 without drinks. Longer evenings follow the set menus, including the Petit d. at €58 and the Grand D. at €71.50, both excluding drinks. The D-Couverte at €89 leaves the sequence to the chef. Recent courses have included sea bass with tomato, jalapeño and buffalo mozzarella, and Iberian pork with courgette, onion and polenta.
The house occupies a renovated mansion, and the owners, Didier and Delfine, describe their goal as affordable gastronomy with attention to both the plates and the service. The wine list holds more than 200 references from around the world, and a wine pairing can be added to any set menu. Some menus are served to the whole table, so it helps to say which one you want when you book.
