The story
Le Barathym, at rue du Parvis 10 in Nassogne, Belgium, is a classic cuisine restaurant that holds a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking. Romain Henrot and Valentin Pirlot took over the house in January 2025 and kept its convivial spirit.
The menu leans on local, fresh and seasonal produce, and the team reworks the house classics with a few modern touches. Gault&Millau gives the restaurant 12.5 for 2026, describing honest, carefully prepared cooking from chefs Cédric Orban and Julien Doucet. The carpaccio of scallops with balsamic vinegar is one dish the guide singles out.
The restaurant sits on the village square and keeps a warm, lived-in feel. Service is relaxed, and the room suits family lunches, dinners for two and evenings with friends. Outdoor seating is available, and the kitchen also offers takeaway, including a festive menu to take home.
