The story
Rossi serves Italian cooking at Standonckstraat 2 in Leuven, on a quiet street in the historical centre a few steps from the Oude Markt. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 13.5 points in 2026, and the guide singled out chef Felice Miluzzi's regional Italian cooking. The kitchen works with the seasons, so the dishes change as the markets do.
Felice Miluzzi grew up in Grotti, a small farming village in central Italy, where his family farm first sparked his interest in food. His mother and grandmother Gina taught him to recognise the taste and aroma of the region's ingredients. After five years at the Rieti Hospitality Institute, he cooked in starred and non-starred restaurants across Italy.
His approach he calls "the luxury of simplicity." The main ingredient should carry the dish, whether it is a potato or a fine fish. He buys organic produce from a small group of artisanal producers rather than mass-market suppliers.
For the aperitif, the kitchen serves cacio e pepe arancini with a pecorino cream. Dinner offers a three-course surprise menu for 49 euros, a five-course ideal menu for 75 euros, and an eight-course menu for 89 euros. At lunch, a two-course menu of the day costs 39 euros, with a vegetarian version available.
The dining room keeps the simple, convivial feel of an old Italian osteria. A low wall separates the kitchen from the hall, so guests can watch the cooks at work. In summer, tables move out to the terrace. The We're Smart Green Guide gave the restaurant 3 Radishes in 2026.
