The story
Céma Passion is a modern French restaurant at avenue Gambetta 63 in La Louvière, rated 14 by Gault&Millau in 2026. Cédric Manderlier cooks, and his partner Pauline shares the running of the house.
The restaurant opened in May 2012. Cédric builds his dishes around the season, using produce from nearby and further afield, and the contemporary French cooking keeps changing as a result. Gault&Millau describes a kitchen that mixes timeless classics with seasonal plates, generous in style. The Michelin Guide also lists the restaurant as recommended for 2026.
A reviewer on the restaurant's own site praises a fresh, nicely presented veal tartare with colorful vegetable chips. Roasted monkfish in butter comes with tender octopus, cocos beans and confit fennel. Dessert was honey-glazed figs on a small compote, followed by a chocolate parfait. Photos on the site also show a soft-boiled egg with cured ham and artichokes, and an blood orange dessert with sorbet.
The wine list covers French and foreign bottles in good number. Service is described as sober, efficient and quick to smile. Lunch runs Wednesday to Friday, plus the first Sunday of each month, and dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Private events of 10 to 50 guests can take over one of the rooms or the whole house.
