The story
Il Trionfo is an Italian restaurant at Paul Parmentierlaan 203 in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, and Gault&Millau awarded it 15 points in 2026. The kitchen cooks classic Italian dishes, with the menu changing around a set selection of starters, pasta and grilled meats.
Mama and son work the kitchen, while papa and daughter-in-law run the dining room. Everything served carries the D.O.P. label, from olive oil and cured hams to cheeses, pasta and wine. The restaurant cannot offer vegan dishes, because the authenticity of its Italian recipes depends on these ingredients.
The set menu "I gusti di Gusti" costs 86 euros per person. It opens with vitello tonnato, made with 9-month North Limburg veal and Pantelleria capers, and fried calamari with a nduja mayonnaise. Mains include tagliatelle with Black Angus ragù and Barolo, and a grilled entrecôte with rosemary potatoes. Chef Agostino Pungitore leads the kitchen.
