The story
Ogst is a modern French restaurant at Ridder Portmansstraat 4 in Hasselt, Belgium, and earned one Michelin star in 2026. The restaurant has been run by the same pair for a decade, and the kitchen and cellar stay closely linked.
Chef Sébastien Wygaerts and sommelier Diederik Herbots marked ten years of Ogst in 2026. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 16 points that year. The room has large windows and plain, understated decor, so the older building feels modern and cozy.
Lunch is a three-course menu, and evening menus run from four to six courses. On Friday and Saturday evenings only the six-course menu is served. Recent dishes have included North Sea crab with black radish, Danish skrei with confit shallot and kale, and Iberian pork presa with pickles. Dessert might be banana with coconut, falernum and meringue, or a wild-flower Tomme cheese course.
