The story
JER is a contemporary restaurant at Persoonstraat 16 in Hasselt, Belgium, holding one Michelin star (2026) and a Gault&Millau score of 15.5 (2026). The menu follows the season, and local produce is handled with care.
The spring menu includes hamachi, grilled and marinated, served with radish and red rice salad. Turbot comes with barbecued peas and green asparagus. Lamb, roasted rosé, arrives with broccoletti and fermented shallots, and the modern cuisine closes with strawberry, yoghurt and purple violets, or a selection of artisanal cheeses.
Dinner is served as three, four or five courses at 75, 95 and 125 euros, with optional wine pairings. Thursday and Friday lunch is a three-course menu built on the market, priced at 60 euros excluding drinks. Groups of six or more take one menu for the whole table. Guests can flag allergies or dietary needs such as gluten or lactose when booking, but fully vegan requests cannot be met.
